LIVE on Crowdcast, Wednesday 9 June, 7pm
Join us for a sneak peek inside the royal wardrobe as our panel of experts explore some of the 20th century’s greatest fashion partnerships, and reveal how members of the royal family work with their favoured designers to create unforgettable style. From coronation gowns to wedding dresses, initial sketch to finished gown, we’ll be unpicking the story behind some of the most iconic looks in royal history. In this very special one-hour talk, Lucy will be joined by Matthew Storey – curator of Kensington Palace’s new Royal Style in the Making exhibition, legendary designer David Sassoon – whose designs have graced everyone from Diana, Princess of Wales to Audrey Hepburn, and Lydia Slater - Editor in Chief of fashion bible Harper’s Bazaar.
This event is free to join, but we ask you to consider making a donation of £10 or whatever you can afford.
As an independent charity that generates all our own funds, we – like many of you – are facing unprecedented challenges. Any support you can give will be put to our essential costs of caring for the palaces.
Historic Royal Palaces is a charity registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (No. 1068852).
We look forward to you joining our online event.
