We are working behind the scenes to relaunch our learning visits this June with enhanced safety measures in place. View our most up to date visitor safety information.

School visits

A school visit to Kensington Palace includes:

  • School session for your Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 group
  • Timed palace admission including all visitor routes open on the date
  • Pre-visit email including essential information and short history guide
  • Dedicated lunchroom

All school group admissions must be booked in advance.

Visiting safely

Please read our current safety procedures for keeping you safe on your visit.

In order to best support you and your group we will also provide:

  • Updated group leader information packs four weeks prior to your visit, including the most up to date health and safety information
  • Timed entry slot for your school to help you stay in your school 'bubble'
  • Dedicated meeting point and lunchroom space for your group only
  • Flexible booking terms, allowing you to move your visit if needed
  • Teacher planning passes, included in your booking confirmation, to allow two teachers to visit and plan your day

Visits available Wednesday - Friday during UK term time.

Wednesday 9 June – Friday 16 July

School visits for Key Stage 1 and 2 groups available Wednesday - Friday during UK term time only, not school or bank holidays. We are operating timed entry for one class per day, to support social distancing. Entry will be at 10.30am.

Adult to student ratios

Key Stage 1 (age 4-7) = 1:5
Key Stages 2, 3 & 4 (age 7-15) = 1:10
SEND groups can determine their own ratios.

Groups with an inadequate number of accompanying adults may not be admitted.

To support social distancing we will ask classes to break up into smaller, supervised, groups with a maximum of 5 students whilst inside the palace spaces.

Bookings open for summer 2021 visits. Please note, we are not currently taking bookings for the 2021/22 academic year. We anticipate opening bookings in July.

Payment options

After receiving your booking request we will email you with a confirmation invoice which must be paid in advance of your visit and according to our payment terms.

BACS

Payment must be made by BACS. Payment details can be found on your invoice. When making payment please ensure you quote the invoice number and, if possible, your school/company name.

Important payment terms

  • Your invoice will be attached to your confirmation email.
  • Payment is due six weeks prior to visiting. We cannot amend booking numbers after this deadline. Extra tickets must be purchased on the day at standard group rates.
  • Bookings with less than six weeks' notice require immediate payment. The cancellation & amendment deadline is 5pm on the day after the booking is confirmed.
  • We regret that no refunds can be given for cancellations or amendments made less than six weeks in advance of your visit. This includes non-arrivals on the day.
  • Coronavirus (COVID-19): We are able to reschedule visits to allow for local lockdowns and other challenges arising from Coronavirus (COVID-19). Please see our full terms and conditions for more information.
