Skate at Hampton Court Palace

Join us to skate on against a backdrop of one of the greatest palaces on earth – Henry VIII's historic home, Hampton Court Palace. The COVID-secure open-air ice rink epitomises the very best in festive fun.

Be transported to one of the country's most scenic skating settings, with spectacular views of the Thames-side Tudor palace.

Located in front of the palace, our stunning ice rink offers something for everyone, from novice to expert. Enjoy a daytime skate, perhaps followed by a visit to the palace, or soak in the ambience of an evening session, when the historic Tudor gate is bathed in light. The ice rink is bigger than ever this year, allowing for extra space for you to skate safely. 

Delicious winter treats

Skating is hungry work and visitors can reserve their tables and sharing platters online at the socially distanced Ice Rink Café & Bar, operated by local favourite Miss Polly Café, who will be serving up hearty winter warming sharing platters, indulgent sweet and savoury treats and a wide range of festive beverages. Everyone is welcome in this relaxing, festive spot, whether you're a skater or a spectator.

Tables of up to 4 or 6 and sharing platters can now be booked in advance, online.

The Ice Rink Café Bar is open 10:30-21:30 from 5 December 2020 to 17 January 2021 (excluding Christmas Day). 

Important information

We recommend that you pre book and arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your session to get ready to take to the ice.
