Policies and procedures
Updated 25 March. In line with Public Health England guidance, we have taken the decision to close all six of our palaces and gardens until 31st May. We will be reviewing this and will keep you updated. Please read our statement for further information. Read our statement
Our aim is to help everyone explore the story of how monarchs and people have shaped society, in some of the greatest palaces ever built.
This welcome to 'everyone' includes children, young people and vulnerable adults. We want their experience of engaging with our palaces and their stories to be meaningful, enjoyable and safe.
The safeguarding policies and procedures provide a framework for operating a competent safeguarding system and strengthen safeguarding practice within Historic Royal Palaces.
They are designed to work in tandem with other policies and procedures, for example those relating to operations, HR and information systems.
For more information on safeguarding at Historic Royal Palaces please refer to our policies and procedures below.
Our schools programme offers stimulating content at all levels from nursery to A-level. We design our schools programmes in collaboration with teachers.
